Hello Stampers,
Today I am sharing how to make a Plaid Shirt with the Buffalo Check stamp set and the Suit & Tie Dies.
I was inspired to make these plaid shirt cards the minute I saw Estie’s card. One of my talented teammates. These cards are perfect for masculine. So many say they are challenging when it comes to making masculine card well keep on visiting my blog I love to make them and sharing with your all.
I have the how-to video below in this post or you can view it on my YouTube channel.
Plaid Shirt in Two-Color Combos
When we think of a plaid shirt many times we think red and black. So I wanted to make the red and black but also want to share another combo. This one is Coastal Cabana and Pretty Peacock.
Extra Detail on the Plaid Shirt Card
Here is some extra detail that I added to these lovely cards.
- Button at the color
- Suspenders I emboss vertical in the Subtle embossing folder, it surly give the look of the elastic of suspenders.
- Silver foil for the “hardware” on the suspenders
I share all the detail in the video.
What I call the original colors. Black and Red.
Stamping with the Buffalo Check
My best tip when you are stamping with the Buffalo Check stamp is to use the Stamparatus. This is a big background stamp and I recommend stamping a few times to get a deep image. All are shared in the video.
Measurements
- Basic Black or Pretty Peacock 11 x 4¼ score at 4¼ card base, 1¼ x 5½ (suspenders), 1½ x 1½ (buttons)
- Real Read or Coastal Cabana 5½ x 4¼ (after stamping the buffalo check this will get trim to 5¼ x 4), 2½ x 1½ (collar)
- Basic White 5¼ x 4 inside, 1½ x ¾
- Silver Foil 1½ x 3
How I love plaid shirts. If you wash a few of my live videos I bet you saw me wearing them quite often. they just make me happy. Especially in the winter, the flannel plaid shirt is the best. should I ask or not? Well, I will do you like a plaid shirt or not. I bet not that many women will say yes but you know it is nothing girly about me 🙂 Just give me my blue jeans and plaid shirts and I am a happy girl.
