Hello Stampers,
Today I am sharing cards with the Hydrangea Mercury Glass Designer Acetate. Very little work to do when using this beautiful Mercury Glass Acetate.
Reminder! Tomorrow at 6 PM mountain time I will be live to reveal my million dollar stamp set.
I share the Rococo Rose card live last month on Facebook and so many were amaze by the result that I choose to download the recording on YouTube so all can watch it that you are on Facebook or not I have the replay on YouTube. You can view the recording at the bottom of this post or you can view it HERE.
You know I send the cards that I create during my live Create On The Fly. I pick a random winner and mail the card. Well, the minute I mail the card I thought I need one or more for myself so right away I made 2 more here they are.
Tip to make a Window Card with the Mercury Glass Acetate Sheet
These are so easy to make but I have a few tips. Here my tips.
- The best product to adhere the Mercury Glass to card stock is the Tear & Tape or Glue Dots.
- If you choose to stamp on to the Mercury Glass us StazOn, or if you use water based ink you will need to emboss (extra tip to emboss below)
- You can add color with Stamping Blends.
- Remove the film in the back of the Mercury Glass. I share how-to in the video.
The Highland Heather Card.
In the center of the daisy, I did a French knot also I show the how-to in the video.
Heat embossing On Mercury Glass
Okay, this didn’t pan out the way I wanted. When you heat emboss on the Mercury Glass the sheet will curve. So yes you can heat emboss but I would suggest heat emboss for a layer, not for a window card like this one. So to finish the card I added to strip of 5½ x ½ on each side inside to keep the card front straight.
Measurement
All cards are the same measurement.
- Bard Base 6¾ x 4¼ score at 5½
- The bottom strip same color as the base 4¼ x 1¼
- Top and bottom layer 4 x 1
- Mercury Glass 5-3/8 x 4¼
- Whisper White (only if the card base is not white) Inside 5¼ x 4
