Hello Friends,
Spring is in the air for many of us and Timeless Tulips with the Stampin’ Blends are perfect for this time. I love the vivid color of today’s tulips.
Verna one of my teammates sent me the link for Jay’s at Mitosu card. She said ” it is something new to me and thought maybe you would like to see it also” Well let just say coloring with blends it’s not new to me but the color choice was so sticking and vivid that I had to give it a try. Thank you Verna and Jay for the inspiration.
You can view the step by step how-to video below in this post or on my Youtube Channel.
Blends and Memento
These tulips on both cards are stamped with Memento Black ink and color with Stampin’ blends. The little dots are done with the Chalk marker. All supplies are listed at the bottom.
Color Choice
For the Tulips, I use both the dark and light Stampin’ Blends of the color listed below.
For the leaves, I kept it very simple with the granny apple green in both light and dark with a little of the light mango melody blends.
Measurements
- Sahara Sand or Pretty Peacock 11 x 4¼ score at 5½ card base.
- Very Vanilla 5-3/8 x 4-1/8 Center is die-cut with the Nature Thoughts die and emboss the frame with the Parisian Flourish embossing folder.
- Whisper White or Very Vanilla 5¼ x 4 inside insert.
- Whisper White for the tulips and leaves.
The frame I adhere with the foam strips and the tulips arrangement first I did the arrangement with glue dots and onto the v=card base with dimensional.
Stamped with Rich Razzleberry
This is the same technique except I stamped the tulips with Rich Razzleberry and the leaves with Mossy Meadow. For the coloring for the tulips, I used Lovely Lipstick and Flirty Flamingo both light and dark. The leaves same granny apple green.
The tulips adhere on a 5¼ x 4 basic black and card base is whisper white 8½ x 5½ score at 4¼.

Absolutely gorgeous Hugs
Frenchie, I LOVE everything you do and these tulips are no exception. They are really gorgeous! I wish my real tulips were this colorful…! I can’t tell where you used the “Nature’s Thoughts Dies” on the cards and didn’t see any explanation. Thanks for sharing.
I did card using that die and use the remaining the frame opening that is the remaining of the other project that I use for the framing
