Hello Stampers,
Want to learn how to make a simple sunset card and doing the silhouette out of The Gang’s Meer stamp set. This is simple and I will show you all step by step in a video.
First I want to give credit to Jackie Aitken from Australia for the inspiration. The minute I saw this card I push away what was on my desk and made one. Thank you Jackie for the inspiration.

Measurement
- Card Base Poppy Parade or Daffodil Delight 8½ x 5½ score at 5¼
- Basic Black 5¼ x 4
- Whisper White thick 2 of 5-1/8 x 3-7/8, one for the front and one inside
Color Choice
I try a few color ink for the tropical sunset. My best result I finish with Pineapple Punch, Poppy Parade and Pumpkin Pie. It look like I have some pink in my finish card but I didn’t use any it was the mix all these 3 colors.
The cardstock for the yellow, I used the Daffodil Delight but the ink is the Pineapple Punch. The Daffodil Delight was a better match for this card when it was finish.
Hoe to do the silhouette
For the silhouette it is simple. Color the gang with the basic black writing markers with the brush tip. I did 2 layer of the coloring so all the detail of the creature are not showing.
In the supplies list you will notice the basic black writing marker are sold separate. No need to worry about how much you will use it, you can buy them separately and not only in the color collection like the other markers.
I bet many will ask if you can color with the Stampin’ Blends. I try and it and it still show the outline of the face and such. For best result for a silhouette is to color with the writing marker.
