How to make a Ice Rink on a card. Plus with the Spirited Snowmen this make the perfect winter card. In today video I will show you have to make the shinny Ice Rink with the snow bank around.
This card bring me so many memories of my childhood. So many days and night skating out side on what I call homemade ice rink.
In the video below or on my You Tube Channel you will see have to make it all. The ice is a thick layer of the Fine-Tip glue. Remember when your fine-tip glue container is almost empty keep it to add multipurpose glue, it make the best container for a delicate applicator.
Measurement
- Mint Macaron 8½ x 5½ score at 4¼ card base
- Blackberry Bliss 5¼ x 4
- Watercolor paper 5 x 3¾
- Whisper White 5¼ x 4 inside and scrap for the cut out snowmen
Snowmen detail
If you notice the card above the snowmen is raise up. I stamp the snowmen on scrap paper, color and hand cut. I adhere on top of the first snowmen off set a little to give the motion of skating. The one below is before I added the raise snowmen. I didn’t like the way it was finish by the snow bank, he look like he was head first in the snow so by raising him up it change the entire look of this card. I vote for that extra layer of the snowmen. What is your vote?
The snowmen color with the aqua painter and ink or the makers, your choice. The body I use very little Pool Party, hat mint macaron and blackberry bliss, nose pumpkin pie and the stick arms soft suede.

On the bottom snowman tape off the nose before inking up and then remove the tape and stamp, voila no nose on the bottom snowman and then when you place the top one you only have one nose showing .!!
I love this card and how easy it is to make ice .
I used your idea of water and Tombo glue to apply glitter and it worked!!! Finally I don’t have clumpy glitter on my cards!! Merci beaucoup!!!!!
