Wrong Email earlier
I bet if you get my post by email you received a email by mistake this am announcing class. Well I enter the wrong date. The live class is NEXT WEDNESDAY OCT. 17 NOT tonight but next Wednesday so for now save the date.
I test this last week or so by sending a card to my sweet daughter Nika. It travel from Texas to Washington states and it was still in perfect condition. The funny part is that she send me a text and said “Thanks for the card, that was so cool that envelope” well she never said the card was cool but she sure love the envelope. Maybe next time I will save my card and just mail her a emboss envelope 🙂 In short just one more little step to do to show your love in the mail.

What embossing folder work best.
To be honest most embossing folder work. One that would be challenge to emboss the flap only is one that is only raise in the center like Lovely Floral, seasonal wreath that we could only emboss partial. Some that I wouldn’t use for envelopes are the deep one like the strips, seaside, these are great for card stock but for envelopes it is to light paper. So a full embossing folder work best. .

In this selection I wouldn’t use the Corrugated folder for the envelopes due to the depth on this folder. Great for cards layers but envelopes are to light.

I just watched your video on embossing envelope flaps. I have been doing this for years, but I emboss with Happy Birthday for a Bday card, Congratulations for Anniversary or whenever appropriate, etc. I have several smaller embossing folders that only fit in the center of the flap, and some longer narrower EF that go across the flap. It surely adds to the card inside. I enjoy all of your videos. Thanks Frenchie.
Hi Frenchie, FYI, I embossed envelope flaps with a holly leaf design for Christmas cards one year & I was told the raised parts were torn from going through the mail machine. I think if I were to do that again, I would take my brayer & press down the raised parts to see if that would help from getting torn. Sorry, but as I was watching your video, I was thinking “no, don’t do that”. I haven’t done it again.
