Hello Stampers
Tip of the day! No more card stock cracking. I bet many of you used a embossing fold that no matter what you try it crack your card stock well in today video I share how to fix this problem and it is simple just by adding a piece of card stock vellum in your folder. Note that the same piece of vellum will last for a long time just add some fast fuse and you can use it over and over.
I have a video for you that you can find at the bottom of my blog post today on my blog HERE. ***If you are getting my post by e mail some server will NOT include the video so make sure to visit my blog to get all detail or you can always find my video on my You Tube Channel.
The wood grain folder I did the vellum in it and I used that fold LOTS and I never replace the velum so trust me this is a quick and easy fix. Now I did the same for the Simple Stripes folder.
see the vellum is crack but no need to replace it it will do the job keep it there.
See how it crack my card stock with out the vellum the below i with vellum NO more cracking.

What a great idea. Thanks… I'll use this on 2 of my folders that crack the paper.
Thanks so much for this idea. I have a few folders that do this and just quit using them. Now I can use them again!
Thank so much your Advice.Looking forward to following you.
Thank you for sharing this tip, I have a few stampinup embossing folders that do this to my card stock..
Thanks for this tip. My wood grain folder is really rough on paper, so this tip will fix that.
Great tip. I have one folder that breaks the cardstock every time. This will be
a great help. Thanks so much.
Great idea, but I spritz my cardstovk lightly with rubbing alcohol then run it through my machine. This kees the cardstock from cracking too. Joy
Yes spritz is one of the solution
Thank you for sharing. I have this problem with some of my folders that I will definitely be trying this with.
Thank you so much for this tip!!!! I had almost given up on buying any more embossing folders. I was so frustrated!!

Thank you for sharing this tip! Appreciate the info!
I was getting ready to throw out my folders that were cracking my cardstock, THANKS for the tip
ANOTHER TIP to avoid cracked cardstock. When using 3-D type embossing folders, lightly spritz both sides of the cardstock with a fine spray of water. Insert cardstock in folder and proceed as usual.
Will this work on foil card stock. I had a problem using the new swirls Embossing folder on the black foil card stock. Cracked all four card pieces.
Thank you soooo much for the fantastic hint using the vellum with the card stock and a light spray of water to prevent cracking. I thought my embossing folders were defective. Now I can start buying embossing folders once again.
