Ready for something different today? If so, you’re at the right place. Plus if you like nature like I do this will be the perfect technique.

I learn this from Lydia and the minute I saw this I ran outside and pick some leaves and when live on FaceBook.

The impression and color of the leaves are all natural no ink added to the image, just press with the Big Shot. The leave that I use are from a maple tree and I try a few different but NOT sure on the names of the trees. Some work better then other I found out that the soft leaves work best if they are kinda of waxy it’s not the best to leave the color, of some are very stiff and it was not the best impression. So my best advice is try some from your area and you will see what work best. Someone told me that herb leave work great also but I didn’t have any to try.

The one in the picture are on watercolor paper and that is my favorite choice of paper, you can also use regular white card stock and it will leave a different impression and the color is lighter.

FYI This is the perfect time to do this technique before the leave start to dry plus it will give you a start on picking/racking the leave in the fall 🙂 Just pick them now and use them in your stamping room.

Measurement
-Whisper White 8½ x 5½ fold in half for card base
-Cajun Craze or Old Olive 5-1/8 3-7/8
-Watercolor paper 5 x 3½

I did a sandwich watercolor paper, leave and watercolor paper so you get 2 cards with one roll and leaves. One of the impression is more vivid in color and the other one have more texture. All explain in the video. The leave are just good for once then you will need a new leave.

Again I didn’t add NO ink to the leaves it is all natural. The frame around the card I use Timeless Texture with Crumb Cake ink.

I think some of the leaves you used are from a Sweet Gum tree (the ones that get the round prickly seed pods). I used to live in Tyler, TX and we had a lot of those trees around.
