Hi Friends! Tina here with another card for my “Passport Pals” guest post with Frenchie. Before I get into the project though I thought I’d share a photo from the recent Founder’s Circle Retreat in St. George, Utah this past week of Frenchie and I:
So let’s get back to today’s project. This was a fun card to make because I basically used one colour throughout, which was Pumpkin Pie, and a little reverse embossing. Super easy. Here’s what I did:
First I stamped the flower image from “Choose Happiness” stamp set (#134195 wood/ #134198 clear) with Pumpkin Pie Ink (#126845) onto Whisper White Card Stock (#100730). I then used a ruler and my Pumpkin Pie Marker (#105115) to draw a straight line between the flowers to create a border.
Next, I stamped the same flower image onto a piece of Pumpkin Pie Card Stock (#105117) with Versamark Ink (#102283), sprinkled some White Embossing Powder (#109132) over top and set with the Heat Tool (#129053).
I used my 2″ Circle Punch (#133782) on the embossed card stock and added a layer of Crystal Effects (#101055) to add some glossy shine and dimension and set it aside to dry (it took a couple of hours because I used a thick layer of Crystal Effects).
The contrasting card stock is Cajun Craze (#119684) and I ran it, along with the Pumpkin Pie card stock, through the Big Shot (#113439) using the Argyle Embossing Folder (#127750). I punched out a piece of Cajun Craze with the 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and adhered my Crystal Effect image on top. A little banner for the sentiment finished it off!
I hope you enjoyed today’s card! Pop on over to my blog today to see what Frenchie created for her “Passport Pals” project!
