Hi Friends! Tina here from The Serene Stamper, with another guest post on Frenchie’s blog.  This is part of our Passport Pals service that Frenchie and I offer together, as a way of servicing our Stampin’ Up! customers on both sides of the border – hers in the USA and mine in Canada!

Today’s card features one of our new Hostess Only stamp sets that is absolutely beautiful:

Bloom with Kindness Hostess Only Stamp Set #133949 (w) #133952 (c)

This set can’t be purchased – you can only get it for FREE, which is even better! This is one of the perks that Stampin’ Up! gives as a ‘Thank You’ gift when you host a qualifying party* with your friends or place an min *$150US/$200CDN order through our online stores.  It’s really easy and the new Hostess stamp sets are absolutely awesome!  So if you have a long wish list from the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue you can get great Hostess Benefits like this stamp set!  Contact Frenchie (if you live in the States) or me (if you live in Canada) for more information about perks like this!

Today’s card is made with a fun and super easy technique called “Smack Down”.  All you need for this background are your stamps, ink and paper.  Simply ink up your stamp and smack down randomly onto your paper to create pretty backgrounds.  It’s as simple as that! But don’t you think that sometimes simple is better?  In this case it sure is:

To make my card I inked up the flower using Hello Honey and then Smack Down in one corner of my Whisper White Card Stock.  I repeated using Calypso Coral in the opposite corner. Then I stamped another flower image to cut out (coloured with my blender pens) and adhered with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  To finish the card I added a border using a Project Life Journaling Pen.
