Good day Friends! It’s me, Tina, Frenchie’s “Passport Pal”! It’s time again for my bi-weekly post and for today’s project I chose to make a quick card set using the gorgeous “Lovely Romance” stamp set (#130264 w/#130267 c). I also used “Petite Pairs” (#128706 w/ #122497c) for the sentiment on the cards. If you need a versatile stamp set I recommend Petite Pairs – it’s such a handy set to have because it covers every occasion from Birthday to Sympathy and everything in between.
The card set I made is quick and easy to put together and is a nice set to give as a gift to someone too. Whisper White card stock (#100730) was used for the card bases as well as the layers. Along with Black Stazon (#101406), I chose to use four ink colours from the Soft Subtles family: Blushing Bride (#131172), Wild Wasabi (#126959), Marina Mist (#126962) and Wisteria Wonder (#126985).
To make the cards I first stamped my sentiments with Black Stazon ink. Next, I used the Small Oval Punch (#120908) and punched a piece of post it tape (which is repositionable and is available at stationary stores) and placed the ovals on top of the sentiments. I then stamped my image from “Lovely Romance” on top of the sentiments and then removed the oval post-it mask to reveal the sentiment in the centre of my image. I cut each of images out with the “Postage Stamp Punch” (#122344) and set them aside.
I used four different embossing folders on my Big Shot (#113439) for the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Whisper White layers: Modern Mosaic (#129984); Honeycomb(#129378); Chevron (#127749) and Arglye (#127750). Once I had a nice embossed background on my paper I adhered them to my Whisper White card base and used Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) to add my four stamped images.
Gotta have bling too – some Rhinestone Jewels (#119246) added to the cards were just the sparkle I needed. To finish my card set I simply stamped the envelopes with another image from “Lovely Romance” in matching colours so that they coordinated with the cards. Voila!
