Hi Friends! Tina here, from “The Serene Stamper” with another Passport Pals guest post! It’s always fun to come and visit Frenchie, here on her blog, with projects that I hope you’ll enjoy. I’ve got a pretty Christmas ornament to share with you today, which features a technique known as ‘Paper Tole’ (3-D paper art).
The Oval Accent Die is perfect for making ornaments. Just use some of our new Coaster Board and Designer Series Paper of your choice – I used Season of Style – and glue the two together. Place a snowflake from the Festive Flurry Framelits on top and run through the Big Shot. Our gorgeous Champagne Glass Glitter added lots of bling and Crystal Effects added the gloss. The 1″ Stitched Edge Grosgrain Cherry Cobbler Ribbon was ideal for the bow and the Bird Builder Punch created the ‘folliage”. I used the Magnificent Maple stamp to add the ‘veins’ of the ‘leaves’. Oh, and let’s not forget the little snow flakes! The Snow Day stamp set has a lovely little snow flake which I first stamped in Pool Party Ink, added some Dazzling Diamonds and then stamped again on Silver Foil Paper which I cut and adhered with a glue dot and finished with a small pearl.

I hope I’ve inspired you today to take some time to create a lovely hand-crafted ornament that you – or a very lucky recipient – will cherish for years to come.
Enjoy the day and HAPPY STAMPING!

Awesome ornament I enjoy the blog every day and now off to see what Frenchie has done on your blog.
So pretty! For the bird did you stamp in on vellum? Or how did you stamp the bird? It looks stunning! I would love to try it. Thanks!
Thanks Ladies! Boni, I stamped on Whisper White, using Black Stazon. I stamped the bird three times and coloured each one the same, using an aqua painter and inks in Cherry Cobbler (bird), Bermuda Bay (hat and scarf), Gumball Green (hat and scarf), and Baked Brown Sugar (beak) and Sahara Sand (skates). Then I cut out the pieces, layered on top of each other (staggered a bit) with dimensional and applied crystal effects on top layer. Fun fun fun! LOL
So cute. Thank you for sharing and answering Boni question was wondering the same thing.
