Today I share how to make a Recessed Card with a insert to hold a gift card. With this year designer paper paper these are are so beautiful. To be fair with these paper you do not need to do much to get a wow card, so very little stamping involve.

Measurement for the Perennial Essence
Both card are the same measurement, just different color card stock and designer paper. I will list measurement for the one with the Perennial Essence Designer paper and will list the color of the Magnolia Lane below.
- Blackberry Bliss 11 x 4 score at 5½. At the bottom section (front for the card) from the score line, on the left hand side make at 7/8 and 1-3/8, right side make a mark at 3-1/8 and 5-3/8
- Perennial Essence Designer paper 2 of 4 x 5½. One one of them on the left side make a mark at ¾, 1½ and on the right side make a mark at 3 and 5½. One piece of 1 x 4
- Whisper White 2 of 5¼ x 3¼, 1¾ circle
- Powder Pink 2″ circle
The diagonal pieces inside are from the piece that you cut for the front. Save all piece and adhere inside you you could always make another card with those pieces. I layer the designer paper on top of the card stock.
This is what I call bring the party inside the card. The inside is as pretty then the outside.
I explain in the video that the inside greeting should be stamped after you insert the gift card so you have a guideline where to stamp. Mine was almost to low, so learn from my mistake.
Magnolia Lane Colors
The designer paper is the Magnolia Lane, card base Blushing Bride, circle 1¾ basic black, 1½ blushing bride and 1-3/8 whisper white. Whisper white the same then above. The stamp set that I used on this one was the Southern Serenade it is retired now.
The picture above you can see how the recessed is pop up. I use dimensionals to raise the top and bottom part.
The one on the left is using the Magnolia Lane designer paper and the right it is the Perennial Essence. Both paper are beautiful for this card. Like mention above no much stamping needed when you work with these gorgeous paper.
