I think they're partridges. If you Google partridges, you'll see photos of how the wings are speckled with white as seen in the second photo from this blog:

Those are Gambel Quails. I know because they are all over here in Lake Havasu City, AZ. I like to feed them so they come in our yard. SHH don't tell anyone because we are not supposed to feed the little guys because the feed bring in the pidgeons who carry deseases.

Accually they are quails, they have that little feather on top of their heads. Mary L.
I would say that they are quails. Mary
I think they are partridges! But maybe that's because they remind me of The Partridge Family TV show back in the 70's!! But now that I look closer at them, they might be quails! Quails have that little feather tuft coming out of their head, and I don't know if partridges do. PLEASE let us know!! =o)

I believe they are Quails. Aren't they just the cutest. I made my Daughter a Mothers Day card last year. It was perfect since She has 3 children.
Pretty sure those are quail, with that little curved feather (or whatever it is!) on their head. Nice scrapbook layouts!

I believe the birds are quails France…hope this helps!
Not sure we'll ever know for certain. There are species of both partridges and quails that have the top knot thingy, and they look very similar, particularly when done like clip art. Sometimes I wonder if SU and probably other stamp companies take aspects of various things to make a stamp. We've had this same debate with flowers where part totally looked like one flower, and part totally looked like another similar flower. I say it's definitely either a quartridge or a prail! lol
When I was a young child,I used to watch a daily show called The Partridge Family, don't know if you ever heard about it. David Cassidy was the Hottie in that show and those birds we're in the beginning when they showed the actors at the beginning you know…anyways,I agree with partridge.
Beautiful pages!
They are Gamble Quails. We have them in my parents backyard in Utah all winter. Aren't they cute? When they walk, that little feather on top of their head wiggles and they look so funny and cute.
Hope I'm not too late for this: “On the 1st day of Christmas”…….so there are 3 birds, and I think you could justifiably call them “THREE FRENCH HENS”…….i know you're singing the song, aren't you!
